A Lovely Week

Here are some of the highlights from our second week:

• We went to Art and Library for the first time. In Art we worked on our taping skills and created machines. In Library, everyone got a book. 
• We are exploring different animals for our class name...so far, it seems as though pig, wolf and horse are front runners...Did you know a pig can swim? Wow!
• We've been mixing paints in the Science corner.
• We've started making our family tree leaves (Leona, Lucia and Ryan, please send in pictures (email or hard copy)).
• We've been making some very creative block structures and combining materials from all around the room in our structures.
• We are beginning to talk about emotions and how we identify how a person is feeling (eyebrows and mouths seem to help with this we think).
• We are working on making a plan when we'd like to visit another area in preschool (this helps us stay safe).
• The sandbox continues to be a huge hit.
• There have been a lot of exciting chases or chase games happening on the playground.
