Round Things

On our way from Library to Art, we stop to eat snack in the covered area outside of the cafeteria. This is the conversation we had the other day.

Dadu: Balls are round.
Ms. Inge: You guys do have interesting things to share. Does anyone know anything else that is round?

The children look around carefully noticing things around them. (no pun intended...ha!)

Trey: Like a water bottle lid and the inside.
Ryan: It sounds like my name. Rrrrround. Rrrryan.
Dadu: And planets!
Ryan: The sun!
Cal: The inside of our eyes are round. You can find signs that are round.
Ryan: Yes, that's true.
Leona: The yellow part of electric fan is round. Our faces, too! And the spots on a cheetah.
Ms. Inge: So many things!
Cal: The railing is round.
Lottie: And our table. There are several tables.
Trey: Maybe we could count them!
Many: Yeah!

And away we went to count and re-count!
